Making a car park booking:
How far ahead can I book?
You can book parking up to at least 6 months ahead of your travel date – and if you do, you’ll be protected from any price changes. And if your travel plans change, you can amend or cancel your booking for free, other than for the discounted Early Booker Products – as long as you do so more than 24 hours before you’re due to arrive at the car park.
Can I make a booking today to park at the airport today?
Yes – you can book up to 6 hours before arriving. Alternatively simply turn up at the airport and pay when you collect your car.
Do your car parks have minimum stay periods?
A number of our car parks do have minimum stay periods, which are detailed on our car park information pages.
How do I book disabled parking?
There are clearly marked disabled bays. You can find more information about disabled parking for each car park on the parking product options page.
How are parking charges calculated?
Car parks are priced per 24-hour period or part thereof. The number of 'days' (24-hour periods) charged is calculated on the basis of the times you select when making your booking. However, if your actual entry and exit time changes, and as a result your actual time in the car park runs into an ‘day’, you will be liable for an additional day's charge at the drive-up tariff. All prices shown are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate.
How often do car parking prices change?
Our car parking prices are constantly monitored to make sure we offer the best price possible. This means our prices do change, so quotes are only valid at the time of booking
Why is the drive-up price sometimes less than the pre-booking price?
Some car parks have a minimum stay policy which therefore incurs a minimum charge payable for parking. This means that on occasions, if your stay is a short one, it may be cheaper in some car parks to drive up rather than pre-book.
What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa Debit, Maestro, Visa Electron and Solo cards – but we do not accept cheques.
Is a booking fee applied to my order?
We do not charge booking or Debit Card fees, there is a small admin fee if you wish to pay by Credit Card.
How do I know my payment details are secure?
This site uses industry standard SSL encryption software which encrypts all your personal information, including name, address and credit or debit card number. A padlock symbol appears in your browser frame when you are in a secure area of the website. Similarly, you’ll also be warned when you’re about to leave the secure area.
Why can't I get a quote for the car park I’m looking for?
If you don’t get a quote for a specific car park, it’s either because there aren’t any pre-booked spaces available in that car park, or your entry and exit times fall outside of the operating times for that car park.
Are there any height restrictions in your car parks?
Most don’t, but some do, so you should check on the car park information table before you book.
How important is my car registration number when making a booking?
Having your correct number in your booking really helps us help you. Some of our car parks use number plate recognition technology, so if we don’t have your correct car registration number, it’s going to slow you down.

What to do on arrival at the car park:
What do I do when I get to the car park?
It depends which car park you are using, as entry procedures vary from car park to car park. Full details are available on the specific car park pages, and your booking confirmation email will prompt you to go to the relevant page.
What happens when I return from my trip?
It depends which car park you are using, as exit procedures vary from car park to car park. Full details are available on the specific car park pages, and your booking confirmation email will prompt you to go to the relevant page
However, many of our car parks use number plate recognition or credit card recognition, so the barrier will recognise you and allow you to enter and exit without you having to get out of your car.
If your car park doesn’t use this technology , you will have to take your booking reference number and car park entry ticket to the customer service office – near the car park exit – so the staff can validate your ticket. But be aware – do not use the car park payment machines as they won’t recognise your booking and will charge you again at the gate price.
What happens if my car gets damaged while it is parked in the airport car park?
This is extremely unlikely to happen – but if it did, you should go to the information desk and immediately to report it. Don’t leave without reporting the incident.
What happens if my return flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed and you go over your car park exit time, you will be charged for an additional day at the drive-up price. If you donot believe you should be charged an extra fee please talk to our Terminal Duty Officer at the information desk.
What happens if I need to leave the car park and then re-enter?
Before you exit the car park tell a representative at the infromation desk why you need to exit and return, and they’ll tell you what to do when you re-enter.
What should I do if I need to return early from my trip due to unforeseen circumstances? Will I be refunded for any days of parking I did not use?
Let us know all the details – including any supporting documentation you think is relevant – and we’ll see what we can do. We’ll get back to you within 48 hours of receiving your correspondence with an answer. Contact us at :
- email: londoncity.airport@apcoa.com
- post: London City Airport Parking, PO Box 1010, Uxbridge, UB8 9NT.
What if there are problems on the day, such as my flight being cancelled? Can I cancel or amend my booking?
Amendments and cancellations can only be done 24 hours prior to arrival time on your original booking. In any other circumstances please refer to your travel insurance provider or airline.
What happens if I forget to bring my booking details with me?
Many of our car parks use number plate recognition, and the entry barrier will open automatically when you arrive.
If you’re at a car park that doesn’t use this technology, take a ticket and when you return from your trip, go to the airport information desk to have your ticket validated – but you will need the name and address of the person who made the original booking.
But be aware – if you have pre-booked, do not insert your credit card into the barrier as you will be charged again.
